- avec une majuscule, le terme est le diminutif de la Vuelta Ciclista a España, c'est-à-dire le Tour d'Espagne cycliste ;
- en tauromachie, il désigne le tour du ruedo que réalise le matador avec l'assentiment et l'ovation du public, après une faena particulièrement réussie. Si le taureau a été brave, il peut également être honoré d'une vuelta avant son retrait par l'arrastre, devant le public debout. (voir : glossaire de la tauromachie) ;
