Å는 A에 윗고리(˚)를 더한 문자로, 소문자는 å이다. 스웨덴어, 핀란드어, 덴마크어, 노르웨이어, 왈론어 등에서 쓴다. å는 원래 스웨덴어와 핀란드어에서 aa로 썼다가 합자가 된 것이다. 스웨덴어에서는 [oː]로 발음한다.

Å의 의미

빛의 파장이나 원자간 거리 등에 이용되는 아주 작은 길이의 단위 옹스트롬(Ångström)을 뜻한다. 1Å=10-10m
