《Coltrane Jazz》는 미국의 재즈 음악가 존 콜트레인의 스튜디오 음반으로, 1961년 초 애틀랜틱 레코드에서 발매되었다.[6][7][8][9] 음반의 대부분은 1959년 11월과 12월에 진행된 두 차례의 세션에서 콜트레인이 자신의 옛 마일스 데이비스 밴드 동료였던 피아니스트 윈턴 켈리, 베이시스트 폴 체임버스, 드러머 지미 콥과 함께 연주한 곡들로 구성되어 있다. 예외는 1960년 10월 21일 녹음된 〈Village Blues〉이다. 이 곡은 콜트레인이 피아니스트 매코이 타이너와 드러머 엘빈 존스와 함께한 첫 녹음 세션에서 나온 것으로, 이들은 1960년부터 1965년까지 콜트레인의 유명한 "클래식 콰르텟"의 일원으로 함께 투어와 녹음을 진행하였다.

배경
