DOS

DOS에는 다음과 같은 뜻이 있다.

DOS(Disk Operating System): IBM PC 호환기종에서 널리 쓰이던 디스크 운영 체제의 일종
DOS(Disk Oriented System): 디스크에 기반한 운영 체제를 총칭. 디스크 운영 체제와는 다르며, 오히려 도스의 상위 분류로 볼 수 있다.
DoS 공격(Denial of Service attack): 서비스 거부 공격. 시스템을 악의적으로 공격해 해당 시스템의 자원을 부족하게 하여 원래 의도된 용도로 사용하지 못하게 하는 공격
미국 국무부(Department of State): 미국 정부의 외교 정책을 주관하는 중앙 행정 기관
