〈Explosions〉는 영국의 싱어송라이터 엘리 굴딩의 두 번째 정규 음반 《Halcyon》(2012)에 수록된 곡이다. 굴딩과 존 포티스가 작사한 이 곡은 2012년 8월 3일 아이튠즈 아일랜드에서, 2012년 10월 1일 아이튠즈 영국에서 프로모션 싱글로 발매되었으나 두 번 모두 얼마 지나지 않아 삭제되었다.[2][3] 2013년 1월 말, 이 곡은 음반의 세 번째 공식 싱글로 발매될 것이라고 발표되었다.[4] 공식 뮤직비디오는 2013년 1월 30일에 공개되었으며, The Halcyon Days Tour에서 굴딩의 독점 라이브 영상을 담고 있다.[4]

상업적 성과

ITV의 〈Where Drama Lives〉 광고에 사용된 후,[5] 〈Explosions〉는 2013년 1월 26일 주 영국 싱글 차트에 122위로 데뷔했고, 다음 주에는 9,851장 판매로 33위로 뛰어올랐다.[6][7] 6주째에 이 곡은 24,269장 판매로 13위라는 최고 순위에 올랐다.[8] 이 싱글은 2013년 8월 기준으로 영국에서 20만 장 이상 판매되었고,[9] 2013년 9월 20일 영국 축음기 협회(BPI)로부터 실버 인증을 받았다.[10]

〈Explosions〉는 미국 영화 《엔들리스 러브》의 TV 광고에 사용된 후,[11] 2014년 3월 1일자 빌보드 핫 100 차트에 100위로 진입했다.[12]
