Junos OS(Juniper Junos, Junos 및 JUNOS라고도 함)는 Juniper Networks 라우팅, 스위칭 및 보안 장치에 사용 되는 FreeBSD 기반 네트워크 운영 체제이며 나중에는 리눅스 기반 네트워크 운영 체제이기도 하다.[7]

버전

Junos OS는 1998년 7월 7일에 처음 출시되었다. 2008년 기준으로 기능 업데이트는 분기별로 출시되었다.[8]

아키텍처

Junos 운영 체제는 주로 베어메탈 환경에서 FreeBSD를 기반으로 하며, 이후에는 Linux 커널도 사용한다.[8] FreeBSD는 Unix 구현체이므로 사용자는 Unix 셸에 접근하여 일반 Unix 명령어를 실행할 수 있다. Junos는 대부분 또는 모든 Juniper 하드웨어 시스템에서 실행된다.[9] Juniper Networks가 NetScreen을 인수한 후, Juniper는 ScreenOS의 보안 기능을 자체 Junos 네트워크 운영 체제에 통합했다.[10]

Junos OS는 다음과 같은 여러 아키텍처 변형이 있다.

  • 베어메탈 환경의 Junos OS FreeBSD 6. FreeBSD 6 커널을 기반으로 하는 Junos OS이다.
  • 베어메탈 환경의 Junos OS FreeBSD 10 이상. 업그레이드된 FreeBSD 커널을 기반으로 하는 Junos OS이다. Junos OS 15.1 릴리스부터 특정 하드웨어 플랫폼에서 업그레이드된 FreeBSD를 사용하는 Junos OS가 실행된다. Junos OS 16.1 릴리스부터 업그레이드된 FreeBSD 기반의 Junos OS는 Linux VM 호스트에서 게스트 가상 머신(VM)으로 실행될 수 있다.
  • Junos OS Evolved는 Linux 커널에서 네이티브로 실행되어 모든 Linux 유틸리티 및 작업에 직접 액세스할 수 있다. Linux 통합 및 부팅 시간이 크게 단축되었다.
