RStudio IDE (또는 RStudio )는 통계 계산 및 그래픽 프로그래밍 언어인 R을 위한 통합 개발 환경이다. 일반 데스크톱 애플리케이션인 RStudio 데스크탑과 원격 서버에서 실행되어 웹 브라우저로 접속할 수 있는 RStudio 서버로 나뉜다. Posit PBC에서 개발하고 있다.

라이선스 모델

RStudio 통합 개발 환경 (IDE)은 자유 소프트웨어 라이선스인 GNU 아페로 일반 공중 사용 허가서 버전 3(AGPL v3)에 따라 사용할 수 있다.

RStudio 데스크탑과 RStudio 서버는 모두 무료 버전과 유료 버전(상업용 버전)으로 제공된다. OS 지원은 IDE의 형식/에디션에 따라 다르다. RStudio 데스크탑은 Windows, macOS 및 Linux 용으로 제공된다. RStudio 서버와 서버 Pro 버전은 Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat Linux, CentOS, openSUSE 및 SLES 에서 실행된다.[6]

개요와 역사

RStudio IDE는 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스에 Qt 프레임워크를 사용했으나,[7] 2022년 부터 일렉트론을 사용하고 있다. 코드의 대부분은 자바로 작성되었으며, 자바스크립트도 일부 사용된다.[8]

RStudio IDE 개발은 2010년 12월경에 시작되었으며[9] 2011년 2월 첫 번째 공개 베타 버전 (v0.92)이 출시되었다.[1] 2016년 11월 1일 1.0 버전이 출시되었다.[10] 버전 1.1은 2017년 10월 9일에 출시되었다.[11]

개발

RStudio IDE는 프로그래밍 언어 ColdFusion의 창시자인 JJ Allaire[12] 가 설립한 공익법인[13] 인 Posit, PBC에서 개발하고 있다. Posit은 R 개발을 담당하는 오스트리아 비엔나에 위치한 비영리 단체인 R 재단[14]과 공식적인 관계가 없다. Posit의 원래 사명은 RStudio Inc. 였지만 2022년 7월, 파이썬 등 다른 프로그래밍 언어 Posit로 변경했다고 발표했다.[15]
