Siraph는 아나벨(보컬), 하스오 마사유키(키보드), 테루이 요시마사(기타), 야마사키 히데아키(베이스), 야마시타 켄(드럼)으로 구성된 일본의 얼터너티브 록 밴드이다. 이 밴드는 2016년에 결성되었으며, 아나벨의 솔로 활동을 지원하던 서포트 밴드에서 발전하였다.[1][2]

아르헨티나에서 태어나 일본에서 자란 가수 아나벨은 동인 음악계에서 풍부한 경력을 쌓아왔다. 그녀는 야나기나기, 나가오 요시히사, Xai와 함께 'Binaria' 유닛으로 활동했고, 베르메이 이나자와와 함께 'anNina'로 활동하며 2009년에 메이저 솔로 데뷔를 했다.[1] 2014년, 아나벨은 기타리스트 테루이 요시마사(Haisuinonasa)와 키보디스트 하스오 마사유키(전 School Food Punishment)가 참여한 솔로 앨범 《Talk》를 발매하였다.[2] 앨범 발매 기념 콘서트에서는 베이시스트 야마사키 히데아키(전 School Food Punishment)와 당시 드러머였던 나카무라 카즈타(전 The Cabs)가 합류하였다.[2] 공연 중 보여준 긍정적인 호흡은 아나벨이 밴드 체제로 계속 공연하게 만드는 계기가 되었다. 이후 드러머 야마시타 켄(Mop of Head, Alaska Jam)이 나카무라를 대신하여 합류하였고, 그룹은 "아나벨 밴드"라는 이름으로 활동을 시작했다.[2][3] 구성원 개개인의 장점을 보여주는 음악을 만들고자 하는 열망이 모여 2016년 공식적으로 Siraph가 결성되었다.[1][2]

2016년 5월 18일, Siraph는 데뷔 미니 앨범 《Siraph》를 발매했다. 총 6곡이 수록된 이 앨범은 하스오 마사유키가 3곡, 테루이 요시마사가 3곡을 작곡했으며, 아나벨이 모든 곡의 작사를 맡았다.[2] 이 앨범은 복잡하고 역동적인 작곡으로 특징지어지는 포스트 록과 일렉트로니카의 조화를 보여주었다. 발매와 함께 매장 내 라이브 이벤트가 진행되었으며, SoundCloud를 통해 앨범 프리뷰가 공개되었다.[2] 2016년 말, Siraph는 첫 번째 싱글 "Quiet Squall"을 발매하였으며, 이 곡은 TV 애니메이션 시리즈 《Bloodivores》의 엔딩 테마로 선정되었다.[2]
