매기 강(Maggie Kang)은 한국계 캐나다인 영화 감독이다. 2025년 영화 《케이팝 데몬 헌터스》를 제작, 공동 연출해 전 세계적으로 이름을 알렸으며, 작품을 통해 제98회(2026) 아카데미 장편 애니메이션상을 수상하기도 했다.[1]

유년 시절

대한민국 서울특별시에서 태어나 다섯 살 때 부모님과 함께 캐나다 토론토로 이주하여 자랐다.[2] 셰리던 칼리지에서 애니메이션을 공부했고 3학년 때 드림웍스에 채용되었다.[3]

경력

드림웍스 애니메이션에서 레고 닌자고 무비(2017)의 스토리 책임자였으며 쿵푸 팬더 3(2016), 가디언즈(2012), 장화 신은 고양이(2011) 에서 스토리 아티스트를 맡았다.[3][4] 이후 소니 픽처스 애니메이션에서 케이팝 데몬 헌터스의 원안을 구상했으며, 해당 작품을 크리스 아펠한스와 함께 공동으로 연출했다.[1]

사생활

남편인 래드퍼드 시크리스트는 넷플릭스 시리즈 키포와 신기한 동물들의 제작자이다.[5]
