콘깬(태국어: ขอนแก่น)은 태국의 도시이자 콘깬 주의 주도이다.

지리

콘깬은 이산 중북부의 코랏고원에 위치한다. 도시의 인구는 2006년 기준으로 140,000명이다.

지역적 중요성

콘깬은 지방의 교육, 금융 기관, 정부 청사, 교통의 중심지이다. 도시는 또한 산업의 중심지로 특히 비단 무역과 농업이 발달해 있다. 콘깬은 아세안 지역 포럼과 국제 연합 회담과 같은 많은 회의를 개최하였다. 또한 라짜만갈라 대학과 북동부에서 가장 큰 대학인 콘깬 대학이 있으며 약 20,000명의 학생이 있다.

현재 콘깬은 태국의 국가의 경제와 사회 계획하에서 치앙마이, 송클라, 나콘랏차시마, 촌부리와 더불어 주요 도시의 하나이다.
