Dit artikel beschrijft de prestaties van voetbalclub Aston Villa FC in het seizoen 2005/2006. Dit seizoen werd de club zestiende in de Premier League. Dit was een evenaring van het slechtste resultaat dat behaald werd in de seizoenen 1994/1995 en 2002/2003. De club verloor dit seizoen 16 maal, terwijl amper 10 wedstrijden winnend werden afgesloten. Zowat het hele seizoen hield de club zich onder in de klassering op. David O'Leary had de leiding over het eerste elftal en dit voor het laatst.[1] Er stroomde weer een aantal jeugdspelers door, onder wie Gary Cahill, Craig Gardner en Gabriel Agbonlahor. De Nederlander Wilfred Bouma werd overgenomen van PSV.[2] Met Milan Baroš (Liverpool FC) en Patrik Berger (Portsmouth) werden twee Tsjechen ingelijfd.[3][4] Baroš won de UEFA Champions League 2004/05 met Liverpool.
