Prof. Dr. H. Achmad Syahrani, Apt., MS (lahir 4 Januari 1954) adalah seorang pakar di bidang kimia farmasi dan pengajar Indonesia. Ia merupakan guru besar Fakultas Farmasi Universitas Airlangga.[1] Ia menjabat sebagai wakil rektor I Universitas Airlangga masa bakti 2010-2015.[2] Sebelumnya, ia menjabat Dekan Fakultas Farmasi Unair masa bakti 2007-2010.

Riwayat

Achmad Syahrani dilahirkan di Kandangan, 4 Januari 1954. Ia menyelesaikan pendidikan dasar di SDN Tri Dharma Banjarmasin pada tahun 1966. Kemudian ia melanjutkan pendidikan di SMP Negeri VI Banjarmasin lulus tahun 1969 dan SMA Negeri I Banjarmasin SMA Negeri I, Banjarmasin lulus tahun 1972.

Ia melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi di Universitas Airlangga dan mendapat gelar Sarjana Farmasi tahun 1979 dengan judul skripsi Sintesis senyawa furfural dengan bahan dasar sekam padi (Oryza sativa) dan Tongkol Jagung (Zea mays). Pada tahun 1980 ia menyelesaikan gelar profesi apoteker Universitas Airlangga.

Gelar Magister Sains diperolehnya tahun 1988 dari Program Pasca Sarjana Universitas Airlangga dengan judul tesis Fusi sel Sacharum offinarum (tebu) dengan Sacharum spontaneum (glagah). Kemudian gelar doktor diperolehnya dari Program Pasca Sarjana Universitas Airlangga pada tahun 1997 dengan predikat sangat memuaskan dan judul disertasi Biotransformasi salisilamida, salisil alkohol dan asam p-aminobenzoat dengan kultur suspensi sel Solanum mammosum (terong susu).
