Acrocomia media adalah spesies palem yang berasal dari Puerto Riko dan Kepulauan Virgin.

Deskripsi

Acrocomia media adalah palem berdaun menyirip dengan batang tunggal yang kokoh. Biasanya mencapai tinggi 8 hingga[convert: unit tak dikenal], terkadang tumbuh hingga setinggi 15 meter (49 ft), dengan diameter batang 20 hingga[convert: unit tak dikenal].[1]

Taksonomi

Botanis Amerika George Proctor menganggap A. media sebagai spesies yang valid berdasarkan batangnya yang lebih pendek dan lebih ramping,[1] tetapi penulis lain menganggapnya sebagai sinonim dari A. aculeata.[2][3]

Nama umum

Acrocomia media umumnya dikenal sebagai coroso atau palma de coroso di Puerto Riko.[1]
