Alethe adalah genus kecil dari burung pemakan serangga dari famili Muscicapidae yang ditemukan di Afrika Barat.

Genus Alethe di publikasikan oleh ornitolog Amerika John Cassin pada tahun 1859.[1] Genus ini sebelumnya ditempatkan di keuarga thrush Turdidae tetapi pada tahun 2010 dua studi filogenetik molekuler yang dilakukan secara terpisah, menemukan bahwa spesies dalam genus ini memiliki kekerabtan yang lebih erat dengan anggota dari famili muscicapidae[2][3]
