Asam fenolik

Asam fenolat atau asam fenolkarboksilat adalah jenis senyawa asam aromatik. Yang termasuk dalam golongan itu adalah zat yang mengandung cincin fenolik dan fungsi asam karboksilat organik (kerangka C6-C1). Dua jenis asam fenolik penting yang terdapat secara alami adalah asam hidroksibenzoat dan asam hidroksisinamat, yang masing-masing berasal dari molekul non-fenolik asam benzoat dan sinamat.[1]
