Botol Boston round, atau botol Winchester, adalah botol yang kuat dan berat yang biasa digunakan dalam industri obat dan kimia. Botol ini sering kali terbuat dari kaca kuning (coklat) (untuk menyaring sinar UV) tetapi juga dapat dibuat dari plastik.[2]

Sejarah

Botol "Winchester quart" pertama kali muncul di Inggris pada abad ke-19 dengan kapasitas 2 imperial quart (2,273 liter).[3] Pada saat itu, sistem ukuran kapasitas kering yang dikenal sebagai "Winchester" masih digunakan. Gantang Winchester masih digunakan di AS. Namun, botol liter Winchester tidak memiliki hubungan apa pun dengan unit lain yang disebut "Winchester". Pada abad ke-20, Winchester Quart dimetriksasikan menjadi dua setengah liter.[4][5]

Konstruksi

"Boston round" memiliki bentuk silinder tanpa pegangan dan bahu melengkung pendek. Ini berulir untuk menutup dengan tutup sekrup.
