Copernicia rigida (dikenal secara umum sebagai palem jata[3]) adalah jenis palem yang endemik di wilayah timur dan tengah Kuba.[2] Ligulanya, yang merupakan yang terbesar di antara semua jenis palem, dapat tumbuh hingga 100 cm (39 in) dengan lebar mencapai 21 cm (8,3 in).[4] Penampilan keseluruhan palem ini menyerupai sikat cukur.
