Danau tektovulkanik

Danau tektovulkanik adalah danau yang terbentuk sebagai akibat adanya proses tektonik dan vulkanik secara bersamaan. Fenomena alam yang memulai pembentukan danau tektovulkanik adalah letusan gunung berapi. Permukaan danau tektovulkanik terbentuk di cekungan yang terbentuk dari tanah atau batu di sekeliling gunung yang patah menurun. Tanah tersebut kemudian terisi oleh air dan membentuk danau. Contoh danau tektovulkanik adalah danau Toba di Sumatera Utara.[1]dj
