Detroit Lions adalah tim sepak bola Amerika profesional dari Detroit, Michigan. Mereka adalah anggota divisi utara dari National Football Conference (NFC) dalam National Football League (NFL).
Klub ini telah memenangkan 4 kejuaraan nasional American Football pada tahun 1935, 1952, 1953, dan 1957. Namun sejak NFL menjadi 32 tim pada tahun 2002, Lions menjadi satu-satunya tim NFC yang belum pernah menuju play-off.
Didirikan pada tahun 1930 dengan nama Portsmouth Spartans. Klub ini memainkan pertandingan kandangnya di Ford Field sejak tahun 2002.
Pada musim 2008, mereka menjadi tim satu-satunya dalam sejarah NFL yang kalah pada semua pertandingan musim reguler, atau dengan kata lain memiliki rekor (0-16).
