Hypsirhophus (artinya "atap tinggi"; terkadang secara keliru disebut "Hypsirophus") adalah sebuah genus dinosaurus stegosauria. Genus tersebut terdiri dari sebuah spesies tunggal, Hypsirhophus discurus, yang hanya dikenal dari spesimen fragmenter. Fosilnya terdiri dari vertebratae sebagian dari punggung, tiga dari ekor dan sepotong tulang rusuk.
Sejarah dan klasifikasi
Fosil pertama yang dideskripsikan dari Hypsirhophus discurus diangkat oleh guru sekolah Oramel William Lucas yang mengabdi untuk Edward Drinker Cope di Cope's Quarry 3 dekat "Cope's Nipple" di Garden Park, sebuah situs fosil yang berjarak 3.8 mil dari timur laut Canon City, Colorado, dan berasa dari strata Tithonian pada zaman Jura Akhir.[1]
