Ingerophrynus adalah nama genus kodok sejati (Bufonidae), yang beranggotakan 12 spesies. Marga ini menyebar luas mulai dari Yunnan bagian selatan, Indocina, Semenanjung Malaya dan Thailand, Indonesia bagian barat (Sumatra, termasuk Nias; Kalimantan, Jawa, dan Sulawesi), serta Filipina.[2] Sebelumnya lama dianggap sebagai bagian dari marga Bufo, taksa ini kemudian dipisahkan sebagai marga tersendiri setelah suatu kajian luas terhadap DNA jenis-jenis amfibia untuk merevisi taksonominya secara hampir menyeluruh.[1] Sepuluh anggota marga ini dahulu dimasukkan ke dalam marga Bufo tersebut. Dua yang lain adalah anggota baru, yang dideskripsi pada tahun 2007 dan 2009. Salah satunya, Ingerophrynus gollum, diberi nama menurut tokoh Gollum dalam novel karangan J.R.R. Tolkien, "The Hobbit".
