Linspire, dahulunya LindowsOS, adalah sistem operasi komersial (tidak gratis) berbasis Debian dan kemudian Ubuntu.[1] Linspire diterbitkan oleh Linspire, Inc. dan terfokus pada kemudahan-penggunaan dengan target pengguna PC rumahan. Rilis stabil terakhir Linspire adalah versi 6.0 yang diluncurkan pada bulan Oktober 2007.

Pada tanggal 1 Juli 2008, para pemegang saham Linspire mengubah nama perusahaan menjadi Digital Cornerstone,[2] dan semua aset-nya diambil alih oleh Xandros.[3]

Pada tanggal 8 Agustus 2008, Andreas Typaldos, CEO Xandros, mengumumkan bahwa Linspire yang akan dihentikan karena perusahaan lebih mendukung Xandros, sedang Freespire akan mengubah basisnya dari Ubuntu ke Debian.[4]
