Polje adalah cekungan tertutup pada medan karst yang luas dan memiliki dasar rata. Polje merupakan istilah di karst Dinarki yang berasal dari bahasa Slovenia yang berarti ladang-ladang yang ditanami.

Jenis

  • Border polje, yang terbentuk apabila sistem hidrologi didominasi oleh masukan air alogenik.
  • Structural polje, yang terbentuk karena terkontrol oleh struktur, biasanya berhubungan dengan adanya sesar miring atau graben dengan batuan impermeabel di dalamnya.
  • Base level Polje, yang terbentuk apabila regional muka air tanah memotong permukaan tanah,biasanya terbentuk di bagian bawah dari kawasan karst.
