Sel goblet adalah sel epitel kolumnar selapis yang menyekresikan musin pembentuk gel, seperti musin 2 di saluran pencernaan bawah, dan musin 5AC di saluran pernapasan.[1] Sel goblet umumnya menggunakan metode merokrin untuk sekreksi, yaitu dengan menyekresikan vesikel-vesikel ke saluran, tetapi juga mungkin menggunakan metode apokrin, yaitu dengan menunaskan sekresi mereka ketika terdapat tekanan.[2] Istilah goblet merujuk kepada bentuk selnya yang mirip cawan. Bagian apikalnya berbentuk cangkir, karena dibuncitkan oleh granula bermukus yang banyak; bagian basalnya tidak memiliki granula ini dan berbentuk seperti tungkai.

Sel goblet umumnya ditemukan di saluran usus, pernapasan dan reproduksi, serta dikelilingi oleh sel kolumnar lainnya.[3]
