Slack adalah alat kolaborasi tim berbasis awan yang didirikan oleh Stewart Butterfield, Eric Costello, Cal Henderson, dan Serguei Mourachov.[1] Slack dirintis sebagai alat internal perusahaan Tiny Speck dalam pengembangan Glitch, permainan daring yang saat ini sudah tidak ada.[7][8] Nama Slack merupakan aktronim dari "Searchable Log of All Conversation and Knowledge".[9]
