Talamus

Talamus/Thalamus (dari Bahasa Yunani θάλαμος = ruang bagian dalam)[1] adalah midline struktur simetris di dalam otak vertebrata termasuk manusia, terletak di antara Korteks otak besar dan Otak tengah. Fungsinya termasuk menyampaikan sensor dan sinyal motorik kepada Korteks otak besar,[2][3] sepanjang dengan aturan Kesadaran, tidur, dan kewaspadaan. Talamus mengelilingi ventrikel ketiga. Ini adalah produk utama dari embrionik diencephalon.
