Type 517 Radar

Type 517 radar diyakini menjadi sebuah radar pencarian udara A-band/VHF banyak digunakan pada kapal permukaan PLA-N dengan 4 antena dalam dua pasang silang brace didukung, satu di atas yang lain, dipasang pada setiap sisi dari tabung tunggal dilakukan pada gigi balik.

Serupa dengan radar P-8 'Dolphin'/KNIFE REST Rusia yang memproduksi dan menyebarkan China untuk sistem udara permukaan kompleks HQ-2, diyakini bahwa Tipe 517 memiliki kemampuan yang sama dan spesifikasi. Tipe 517 sebagian besar terkait dengan sinyal transmisi laut.

Sistem ini diproduksi oleh Beijing Leiyin Electronic Technology Development Company (北京雷音电子技术开发有限公司).
