The 2022–23 season was the 121st season in the existence of Norwich City Football Club and the club's first season back in the Championship since the 2020–21 season, following their relegation from the Premier League the previous season. In addition to the league, they also competed in the season's editions of the FA Cup and EFL Cup.

Pre-season and friendlies
The Canaries announced they would travel to Scotland for back-to-back pre-season friendlies against Celtic and Hibernian.[54] On 30 May, Norwich City confirmed further matches for their pre-season schedule, which includes a training camp in Bavaria.[55] Two more matches were added to the calendar against Jahn Regensburg and Olympique de Marseille.[56]
