ConFoot Ltd

ConFoot Ltd is a Finnish company that manufactures portable container support legs for handling intermodal containers and other container-based systems. The company’s products enable the storage, lifting and lowering of containers, as well as containerized systems such as radar units, generators and weapon systems, without the need for cranes, forklifts or fixed infrastructure.

The company was founded on 18 October 2011 and is headquartered in Jyväskylä, Finland.[1][2]

History

ConFoot originated from a practical challenge in the transport industry, where truck drivers often had to wait for extended periods during container unloading. The company’s founder, Timo Akela, developed a solution that allows a container to be left at the delivery site while the vehicle continues to its next assignment.

In 2013, ConFoot introduced a container leg system that can be operated by a single person and supports loads of up to 34 tonnes.[3]

Following a change of ownership in 2024, the company has focused on international expansion and the development of solutions for demanding environments, including defence and security applications.[4]

The company’s Chief Executive Officer is Mia Pietarinen.

ConFoot manufactures its products through its own production and partner network. Product design is carried out in Finland, and key materials are sourced from Finnish suppliers.[5]
