Stainless Structurals is an American manufacturer and supplier of stainless steel structural shapes, square and rectangular tubing, and custom steel profiles for architectural and industrial applications. The company is based in Conroe, Texas.

History

Stainless Structurals was founded in 2005, when Swiss steel producer Montanstahl AG established it as a product-focused company for stainless steel structurals.[1][2] It initially operated a warehouse and sales office in Jacksonville, Florida to supply laser-fused and hot-rolled stainless steel sections.[3]

In 2011, Stainless Structurals relocated its operations to Conroe from Jacksonville.[4] In 2012, it opened a manufacturing facility in Conroe on a 44-acre site.[5]

In 2019, the Conroe Industrial Development Corporation approved a performance-based incentive agreement related to a proposed 105,000-square-foot expansion of the company's manufacturing plant in Conroe Park North. The proposed expansion was tied to an investment of approximately $7.525 million and the addition of 10 employees.[6] In June 2020, the addition of 110,000 square feet of warehouse space expanded the company's Conroe footprint to 230,000 square feet.[7]

In 2024, Stainless Structurals completed a 1.97-megawatt rooftop solar power installation at its Conroe facility.[8]

Products and operations

Stainless Structurals manufactures and distributes stainless steel structural sections including angles, beams, channels, tees, flats, tubes, and custom shapes. It also produces carbon steel architectural profiles, including sharp-corner tubing, T-sections, and other custom profiles for architecturally exposed structural steel applications.[9]

The company's production methods include laser fusion, low-impact laser welding, hot rolling, hot extrusion, cold drawing, and cold rolling.[10] Its laser-welded tubing is covered by ASTM A1127/A1127M-23, a standard specification for stainless steel laser- and laser-hybrid-welded sharp-cornered and special-shape structural tube.[11][12]
