Phatthalung's representatives have never won the main title since the first competition in the Miss Grand Thailand pageant in 2016. The highest placement obtained by them is the top 12 finalist; won in 2017 by Ratiyaporn Chukaew [th].[6]
History
In 2016, after Miss Grand Thailand began franchising the provincial competitions to individual organizers, who would name seventy-seven provincial titleholders to compete in the national pageant, the license for Phatthalung province was granted to a forecaster, Sukrit Pathumsriwirot (ศุกฤษฎ์ ปทุมศรีวิโรจน์),[7] Still, the province's representative for this respective year was appointed. Later in 2017, Pathumsriwirot lost the license to a local organizer, Weerasak Phetkaew (วีระศักดิ์ เพชรแก้ว),[5] who organized the first Miss Grand Phatthalung contest on 23 March of that year, and Ratiyaporn Chukaew [th] was announced the winner.[1][8]
The pageant was skipped once; in 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand, the national organizer was unable to organize the national event, and the country representative for the international tournament was appointed instead.[9]
