Talk:Cunt

Irish language origins

Cúntóir.

Cúntóir" (or sometimes spelled "cunteoir") is the Irish word for an assistant or helper. You might see this word used for a variety of roles in Ireland, such as a classroom assistant, a sales assistant, or an instructor working at a summer Irish college (Gaeltacht).

Common phrases include: Cúntóir ranga: Classroom assistant. Cúntóir díolacháin: Sales assistant.

All plausible in relation to 'cunt' connotations if your experience with some of these assistants are negative. ~2026-37778-67 (talk) 10:55, 1 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

C-Word used to describe Hillary Clinton during the 2014 election

It was reported that the "c-word" was used at it's most extent during the 2014 election period to describe candidate Hillary Clinton over use for any other means. This went on for months, especially in underground press. Should this be included in the article? ~2026-37810-01 (talk) 17:14, 5 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Since this is an article about the word "cunt" and not about the person, Hilary Clinton, any mention in the article about the word being applied to the person would need to be supported by reliable sources focussed on the use of the word, and not on the person. Any statement that merely mentions that the word was used to describe Clinton would not be pertinent to the article. On the other, a good source that discusses the significance of the use of the word when applied to Clinton would be worth considering. Donald Albury 17:34, 5 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
