Apologies for the late comment, but nice work on the new article! I'm always glad to see more editors doing high quality content work in literature/novels. I'd recommend nominating the article at WP:DYK for a front page slot, it's a great way to get some more attention on your creations. A "plot fact" isn't allowed per WP:DYKFICTION but everything else like the background, themes, and reception is good to go.

Re: the newspaper reviews - once your account is 6 months old with 500 edits, you get access to The Wikipedia Library, where you can then apply for newspapers.com. It's highly useful for finding book reviews for anything released in the United States in the 20th century. (There were a few more I found searching but they were all pretty short, just a few sentences each, so given how the article was clearly not struggling for adequate sourcing I didn't bother listing them in the {{refideas}}). @ScalarFactor Hey, thanks for all the help. The narrator being a town is a fun hook. Now we have a stable link in English for verification. It sounds like a plan! I'm hoping to apply lessons I learned here to put a couple other women-authored works (maybe Balún Canán by Castellanos) in Category:20th-century Mexican novels.
