A7 on Okoro Christopher Kalu
Hello Instant History -- Thanks for patrolling; I've declined this speedy because A7 is only for articles with no believable claims of significance at all. The Rector of a higher-education college is a clear claim. If you do not believe that Kalu is sufficiently notable for inclusion then I suggest WP:Articles for deletion. Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days, and you are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on any page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

June 2026
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to First United Methodist Church (Kissimmee, Florida) when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

ANI comment
Hello. This is in regards to your comment at a recent ANI [1]. This comment contained several personal attacks. I replied at the ANI [2]. In any case, I think it would be best if you strike or redact your comment. This particular ANI discussion has come under scrutiny by ARBCOM and sanctions are in place [3]. This means that you can be blocked for such comments. Well, you could be blocked with or without sanctions being in place. So, it is up to you, what you want to do. ---Steve Quinn (talk) 22:57, 22 July 2026 (UTC)
Frederick Walter Davis merged into Frederick W. Davis
Hi Instant History, and thanks for taking a look at Frederick Walter Davis earlier today. I wanted to give you a heads-up on what happened to it, since your edits are now behind a redirect.
It turns out there was already a long-standing article on the same person at Frederick W. Davis (created in September 2007). I hadn't spotted it when I wrote mine, which was my mistake. I've now done a bold merge: the sourced content from my version has been folded into Frederick W. Davis and the old title redirects there, so the page history is preserved for attribution.
On the {{Notability}} tag you added — I didn't carry it across to the merged article, since I think the combined sourcing resolves it. Davis is treated in James Oles's South of the Border: Mexico in the American Imagination (pp. 123–127), in Helen Delpar's The Enormous Vogue of Things Mexican, and in the Davis & Pack and Morrill & Berk surveys of Mexican jewelry and silver, alongside auction-house coverage. If you still think notability is shaky after seeing the merged version, please do re-tag or raise it on the talk page — I'd rather work it out than have you feel steamrolled.
Two of the categories you removed (Category:Mexican jewelry designers and Collectors of Mexican art) I've handled differently: the first is on the merged article since he designed jewellery produced under his own mark, and the second I dropped, as that category doesn't actually exist. Your removal of the red-linked See also entries was right and I haven't restored them.
