Williamsfield is an unincorporated community in central Williamsfield Township, Ashtabula County, Ohio, United States. The community is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 322 and State Route 7. Williamsfield has a post office with the ZIP code 44093.[1]

History

Williamsfield was named after General Joseph Williams, one of the original owners of the town site.[2] The township was formally established in 1826, attracting settlers due to its fertile farmland and abundant timber resources.[3]

Geography

Williamsfield is situated in northeastern Ohio near the Pennsylvania state border. The region features gently rolling terrain, agricultural fields, and wooded areas. It lies within the Great Lakes Basin, approximately 20 miles south of Lake Erie.[4] Small streams and creeks flow through the community, enhancing its scenic rural environment.[5]
