Les Miomoptera forment un ordre d'insectes éteints qui vivait du milieu du Carbonifère jusqu'au commencement du milieu du Jurassique. Certaines familles sont considérées comme les ancêtres de tous les insectes holométaboles[2], c'est-à-dire, à métamorphoses complètes.
