Odell Shepard ( Sterling - ) est un professeur, poète et homme politique américain qui exerce les fonctions de lieutenant gouverneur du Connecticut de 1941 à 1943[1].
Biographie
Il étudie à l'université Harvard, et enseigne au département d'anglais de l'université Yale. Devenu professeur d'anglais à Trinity College de 1917 à 1946[2], il est le mentor de Abbie Huston Evans[3]. Il dirige les travaux de Henry David Thoreau, Louisa May Alcott, et Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
Il écrit Pedlar's Progress, une biographie de Bronson Alcott, père de l'écrivain Louisa May Alcott, et l'un des premiers Transcendentalistes[4] Ses travaux sont conservés à Trinity College[2].
