QtScript

QtScript는 Qt 크로스 플랫폼 애플리케이션 프레임워크의 4.3.0 버전부터 포함되었던 스크립트 엔진이다. Qt 5.5부터 처음으로 비권장(deprecated)되었고, 이후 Qt 6.5에서 삭제되었으며, Qt 메타 객체 언어(QML)로 대체되었다.

이 스크립트 언어는 ECMA스크립트 표준을 기반으로 하며, QObject 스타일의 시그널 및 슬롯 연결과 같은 몇 가지 확장 기능을 포함한다.[1] 라이브러리에는 엔진과 함께 QtScript 코드를 평가하고 사용자 정의 QObject 파생 C++ 클래스를 QtScript에 노출하기 위한 C++ 애플리케이션 프로그래밍 인터페이스(API)가 포함되어 있다.

QtScript 바인딩 생성기(QtScript Binding Generator)[2]는 ECMA스크립트에서 Qt API에 직접 액세스할 수 있도록 바인딩을 제공한다. QtScript와 바인딩 생성기는 아마록 2의 스크립트 시스템에 사용된다.

2011년 Qt 4.7 기준의 QtScript 버전은 JavaScriptCore를 사용하지만 더 이상 개발되지 않았다. 해당 모듈은 2015년 4월 Qt 5.5부터 비권장되었다.[3]

Qt Script for Applications (QSA)

이전의 관련 없는 스크립트 엔진인 Qt Script for Applications (QSA)는 트롤테크(Trolltech)가 별도의 Qt 기반 라이브러리로 배포했으며, GNU 일반 공중 사용 허가서(GPL)와 상용 라이선스로 이중 라이선스되었다.

QtScript가 출시되면서 QSA는 비권장되었고 2008년에 수명이 종료되었다.[4]
