Centotheceae adalah sebuah tribus kecil dari rumput-rumputan dengan enam spesies dalam dua marga, yang tersebar di Afrika dan Asia. Kelompok ini termasuk dalam kelompok di dalam subfamili Panicoideae, yang terkadang disebut sebagai "klad sentotekoide", yang terdiri dari tribus Thysanolaeneae, Cyperochloeae, Centotheceae, Chasmanthieae, Zeugiteae, Tristachyidae, dan Steyermarkochloeae; klad ini merupakan saudara dari kelompok-kelompok lainnya di dalam Panicoideae.[1] Tidak seperti banyak klad lainnya di dalam subfamili Panicoideae, mereka menggunakan jalur fotosintesis C3.[2]
