Euplectella adalah genus spons kaca yang di dalamnya termasuk Keranjang Bunga Venus (Euplectella aspergillum) yang terkenal. Spons kaca ini memiliki kerangka[2] yang terbuat dari spikula silika yang dapat membentuk pola geometris. Hewan ini paling sering ditemukan di dasar laut berlumpur di Samudera Pasifik Barat dan Hindia.[2] Mereka adalah organisme sessile dan tidak bergerak setelah melekat pada batu.[3] Mereka dapat ditemukan pada kedalaman antara 100 dan 1000 m, tetapi paling sering ditemukan pada kedalaman lebih dari 500 m.[4]
