Leading-edge extension
Leading edge extension ialah sebuah perpanjangan dari permukaan sayap pesawat, di depan ujung sayap. Perpanjangan-perpanjangan yang bentuknya berbeda digunakan untuk alasan yang berbeda-beda.
Leading edge slats
Sebuah slat adalah sebuah aerofoil yang membujur di depan leading edge sayap. Bentuk ini memberi Leading edge slot di antara slat dan sayap, yang memungkinkan pesawat untuk terbang dengan kecepatan rendah.
