Madhyamaka (Dewanagari: मध्यमक; ,IAST: Madhyamaka,; Hanzi: 中觀派; Pinyin: Zhōngguān Pài; dikenal pula sebagai Śūnyavāda) terutama mengacu kepada perguruan filsafat Buddha Mahayana[1] yang didirikan oleh Nagarjuna. Perguruan filsafat dan cabangnya disebut "Madhyamaka"; para pengikutnya disebut "Mādhyamika". Menurut Madhyamaka, segala fenomena adalah kekosongan "substansi" atau "esensi" (Sanskerta: svabhāva) karena mereka muncul dengan keterikatan. Karena mereka muncul dengan keterikatan, maka mereka tidak memiliki harkat, dan menjadi realitas tersendiri bagi dirinya.
