Mehboob Khan (1907 – 28 Mei 1964) adalah seorang pelopor, produser-sutradara sinema Hindi, yang paling dikenal karena menyutradarai epik sosial Mother India (1957), yang memenangkan Penghargaan Filmfare untuk Film Terbaik dan Sutradara Terbaik dan nominasi untuk Penghargaan Akademi untuk Film Berbahasa Asing Terbaik.[1] Ia mendirikan perusahaan produksinya, Mehboob Productions, dan kemudian sebuah studio film, Mehboob Studios di Bandra, Mumbai pada 1954.[2][3][4]

Kehidupan awal

Khan lahir dengan nama Mehboob Khan Ramzan Khan di Bilimora di Taluka Gandevi di Negara Bagian Baroda (Sekarang Gujarat).[5]

Warisan

Sebagai bagian dari perayaan seratus tahun hari kelahirannya, departemen pos India mengeluarkan sebuah perangko peringatan Mehboob Khan di sebuah fungsi yang diadakan di Mehboob Studios pada September 2007.[6] [7]
