Papirus 53 (bahasa Inggris: Papyrus 53code: en is deprecated dalam penomoran Gregory-Aland), diberi kode ${\mathfrak {P}}$ ⁵³, adalah sebuah salinan kuno bagian Perjanjian Baru di Alkitab Kristen. Ditulis dalam bahasa Yunani di atas lembaran papirus. Yang terlestarikan adalah dua lembar, masing-masing berisi Matius 26:29–40 dari Injil Matius dan Kisah Para Rasul 9:33–10:1 dari kitab Kisah Para Rasul.

Tarikh

Naskah ini berdasarkan paleografi diperkirakan dibuat pada abad ke-3 M. Dua lembar fragmen ini ditemukan bersama, asalnya merupakan bagian suatu kodeks yang diyakini memuat empat Injil (atau hanya Injil Matius) dan Kisah Para Rasul.^[1]

Jenis teks

Teks bahasa Yunani dari kodeks ini oleh pakar tekstual digolongkan ke dalam jenis Teks Alexandria (proto-Alexandrian). Aland memberi catatan "paling sedikit teks Normal", dan menempatkannya pada Kategori I.^[2]

Lokasi

Kini disimpan pada University of Michigan (Inv. 6652) di Ann Arbor.^[2]^[3]
