Pegomastax adalah sebuah genus dinosaurus heterodontosauridae yang hidup pada Periode Jura Awal di Afrika Selatan. Satu-satunya spesimen yang diketahui ditemukan dalam sebuah ekspedisi tahun 1966–1967 di Distrik Transkei, Provinsi Tanjung, namun belum dideskripsikan sampai 2012 kala Paul Sereno menamainya sebagai takson baru Pegomastax africana. Nama genus tersebut berasal dari kata Yunani untuk "rahang kuat".
