Bridei, søn af Der-Ilei (oldirsk: Bruide mac Derilei; død 706) var konge af pikterne fra 697 til 706. Han blev konge, da Taran blev afsat i 697.[1]

Han var bror til sin efterfølger Nechtan. Det er blevet foreslået, at Bruides far var Dargart mac Finguine (d. 686) af Cenél Comgaill, en kongeslægt i Dál Riata, som kontrollerede Cowal og Isle of Bute.[2] Oprindelsen til hans mor, Der-Ilei, er ikke med sikkerhed kendt.

Ud over Nechtan kan flere andre brødre, halvbrødre eller fostbrødre til Bridei sandsynligvis identificeres i de irske annaler: Talorgan, søn af Drest; Congus, søn af Dargart; og Cináed, søn af Der-Ilei.[3]

Bridei var en af mange betydningsfulde mænd fra Irland og Skotland, som i 697 garanterede Cáin Adomnáin (Lex Innocentium; "De uskyldiges lov") ved Birr.

Et slag mellem pikterne og sakserne i 698, hvor Berhtred, søn af Beornhaeth, blev dræbt, er omtalt af de irske krønikeskrivere. Et nederlag for Dál Riata nævnes i 704, enten ved Loch Lomond eller ved floden Leven, men det er mere sandsynligt, at det blev påført af britonerne fra Alt Clut end af pikterne. Kampe på Skye i 701, hvor Conaing, søn af Dúnchad, blev dræbt, var sandsynligvis en intern konflikt mellem stammerne i Dál Riata. Ifølge Chronicon Scotorum var vinteren i år 700 så kold, at "havet frøs mellem Irland og Skotland".

Bridei døde i 706, hvor hans død blev registreret i både Ulster-annalerne og Tigernach-annalerne. Han blev efterfulgt af sin bror Nechtan.
