A partnership between Roshn, a Public Investment Fund owned real estate development company, and Aramco was established to build this stadium.[1] Its opening will take place in 2026.[2] Construction on the Aramco Stadium began in 2024, and will be completed in 2026.[3] Situated along the Arabian Gulf, the stadium’s architecture pays homage to the sea’s dynamic character and its deep connection to the local community. The whirlpool-shaped design, inspired by the Dawwama phenomenon that appears off the coastline during summer, features overlapping sail-like structures and elegant wave motifs, harmonizing effortlessly with the coastal environment.[3] Aramco Stadium will be situated in northern Khobar, near the Corniche, with a focus on accessibility through public transportation, bike paths, and pedestrian walkways. Designed to serve as more than just a sports venue, it aims to become a long-standing cultural hub and a central gathering place for the community.[3] Post-2034Following the World Cup, it will be primarily used by Al-Qadsiah of the Saudi Pro League.[4] See alsoReferences
