Dai Ying (Chinese: 戴莹; pinyin: Dài Yíng) is a Chinese television producer and media executive. She currently serves as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Original Programming at iQiyi, a leading online entertainment service in China.[1]
Career
Dai Ying established iQIYI's Original Programming division, overseeing online drama development, investment, and production.[2] Under her management, Dai initiated projects such as "The Misty Theater", which introduced short-format suspense dramas like The Bad Kids, The Long Night and The Knockout, garnering awards.[3][4][5] Her productions have been characterized by an emphasis on blending genre storytelling with contemporary audience insights.[6]
In 2019, Dai participated in several forums at the Shanghai International Film and Television Festival, where she highlighted iQiyi's approach to creating hit dramas through innovation, quality, and original content IP. She also discussed the platform's advancements in interactive film and television, short dramas, and vertical short films.[8]
In May 2023, Dai Ying was recognized as one of the "Influential Producers of the Year" at the 3rd Global Film and Television Culture Communication Summit Forum in Beijing.[9]
Dai received the Young Leader Award at the Boao Youth Development Conference, for her contributions to China's television and film industry.[10]
