Le rusty nail est un cocktail reconnu comme grand classique, préparé dans un verre à mélange[1], et servi on the rocks[2].
Il se compose de scotch et de Drambuie.

- ↑ Le verre à mélange est un premier verre utilisé avant le verre de service, dans lequel on verse les liquides avant de les mélanger avec une cuiller à mélange prévue à cet effet. C'est un outil indispensable, qui sert à remuer jusqu'au fond du verre. Son dos permet aussi de ralentir le début de versement de l'alcool dans un mélange qui ne doit pas être troublé.
