James Francis Ivory (lahir 7 Juni 1928) adalah seorang sutradara film, produser, dan penulis skenario asal Amerika Serikat. Selama bertahun-tahun ia bekerja secara ekstensif dengan produser film kelahiran India, Ismail Merchant, partner domestik maupun profesionalnya, dan dengan penulis skenario, Ruth Prawer Jhabvala. Ketiganya merupakan pendiri dari perusahaan film Merchant Ivory Productions, di mana film-film produksinya telah memenangkan enam Academy Awards; Ivory sendiri dinominasikan untuk empat piala Oscar, dan memenangkan satu penghargaan.
Lewat hasil karyanya yakni Call Me by Your Name (2017), di mana ia menjadi penulis skenario dan produser, Ivory berhasil memenangkan penghargaan untuk kategori Skenario Adaptasi Terbaik dalam penghargaan Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Writers Guild of America Award, Critics' Choice Award, dan Scripter Award. Setelah memenangkan Oscar dan BAFTA pada usia 89 tahun, Ivory menjadi pemenang tertua dalam kategori apa pun untuk kedua penghargaan tersebut.[1][2]
